Getting Started with Home Education
You may be starting to homeschool with children who are beginning their formal education or with older children that have been educated in an institutional setting for a number of years. Either way this getting started advice covers approaches, planning, and provincial policies. Most of what you’ll find here are links to trusted online sources of information, but over time we plan to add a list of learning experiences (ie. field trips) in the surrounding area and ideas and tips from homeschooling parents.

Saskatchewan Home Based Educators (SHBE)
SHBE is the provincial association of homeschooling families. They provide assistance in various way to every family homeschooling in Saskatchewan and offer additional support for members. For just $35 a year, you can become a member. See their website for membership and to donate and view the various resources available through their site.

Canadian Centre for Home Education (CCHE)
CCHE is a the Canadian source for research on home education and homeschooling news and initiatives. As a charitable organization they work bring awareness to the rights of parents, influence the perception about home education in society, including government authorities, and inspire families to embrace and continue their homeschooling journey.
